Jamil Jivani is a lawyer, author and broadcaster. He was nominated as Durham’s Conservative candidate on August 20, 2023. Raised by a single mom and having overcome many challenges, he graduated from Humber College, York University, and Yale Law School. He has volunteered with several organizations dedicated to improving the lives of youth. As a cancer survivor, he understands the importance of high-quality local health care and strong public services. Durham residents urgently need a more affordable, stronger economy that works for people of all means and backgrounds. Jamil will work hard to make life better for working families, Seniors, farmers and small businesses across Clarington, North Oshawa and Scugog.
